The safety of all of us comes first! Therefore, protocols have been designed to make travel safe and maximally protect guests, hosts and tourism employees.
National safety label Safe stay in Croatia
The national safety label Safe stay in Croatia is a Croatian variant of the Safe Travel label created in 2020 by the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC) to help passengers identify safe destinations and trips that follow the epidemiological measures, security protocols and recommendations.
The Safe stay in Croatia label is awarded free of charge to all stakeholders in tourism who undertake to apply the prescribed safety protocols and health and safety recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health to protect against Covid-19. Compliance with the measures included in the protocols is monitored through the Ministry of Tourism and Sports' system, professional associations in tourism, and the users themselves.
You will find the recognizable Safe stay in Croatia label in accommodations, agencies, tourist locations, and attractions.
Mare Tours also carries the Safe stay in Croatia label.
Safety sign Safe stay in Croatia in private accommodation
In the accommodation description, special emphasis was placed on which accommodation committed to additional safety protocols and epidemiological measures. In private accommodation, this means, among other things:
- safety kit is provided (Safety Kit - protective masks, gloves, disinfectant)
- common areas are regularly disinfected, and special attention is paid to equipment and places that are frequently touched
- thorough cleaning with disinfectants and ventilation of the accommodation unit is carried out
- intensified washing and disinfection of bed linen and towels for guests
What can you do for your safety?
Here are the general safety rules for guests:
- wearing protective or medical masks indoors
- hand disinfection
- adherence to a limited number of persons indoors
- maintaining physical distance
At the entrance to the enclosed spaces, you will find recommendations displayed regarding the wearing of masks, recommended distances and the maximum number of people allowed. Staff may request your information (name, surname and contact number), which will be kept for 14 days if you need to be contacted for epidemiological measures.
We recommend that you buy a ticket in advance online when visiting the attractions and use contactless payment whenever possible. We would also like to remind you to dispose of your used protective mask appropriately.
