Take advantage of this interesting opportunity to visit the Ličanka brewery and try the fantastic Velebit beer! Brewery Ličanka is only 18 km away and about 25 minutes' drive from Smiljan – a place of birth of Nikola Tesla.
Brewery Ličanka was founded in 1997 and it's the 4th largest Croatian brewery. The brewery produces top-quality beer:
- Light Velebitsko beer with 5% alcohol
- Dark Velebit with 6% alcohol
- Kasačko beer - a mixture of 60% light and 40% dark beer and 5.1% alcohol
Water is the most important ingredient of every beer, and all the beers produced in Ličanka brewery use untreated natural spring water from the source "Ričina", in the Velebit mountain, at about 700 m above sea level. Water from "Ričina" is considered to be one of the best quality European beer waters and this is felt in the exclusive taste of Velebit beer.
